Hug Me or Punch Me (Videos) is a relating work to my interactive installation Hug Me or Punch Me, which is a 6.5 foot giant teddy bear alone in a relatively close interior space. The audience noticed that they were allowed to do whatever they wanted to the bear — hugging, punching, or anything else. I tried to make an environment in which they would be relaxed and comfortable doing whatever they wanted, even though there was a camera recording. When their reactions recorded through cameras, the videos become relating pieces to the installation. The audience becomes the center element of the work. These videos record and discuss individuality and the variety of human's reactions under a special circumstance.
